I believe in inclusion and differentiation which our school models. I believes all students are need to be involved in the conversation. Small group instruction, mini-lessons and conferencing with students is how I feel I can best meet each students needs. It is important to me not to widen the learning gap between special ed. & regular ed. students.
How do special ed. students feel in a pull- out program?
How involved can differentiation be in a classroom?
Is a basal reading program as effective is pushing students to the next level as a reading workshop approach?

By Jan. 2010 I will have implemented the best practice of students writing before and after reading to increase their understanding of what they have read.
